CUISRAP began in 2011 by a group of anesthesiologist at King Chulalongkorn Memoral Hospital and Thai Red Cross, who are interested in ultrasound guided regional anesthesia and anesthesia related interventions. In 2013, the same group hosted the first cadaveric work shop on Ultrasound and Regional Anaesthesia follow by a yearly work shop at Chula Soft Cadaver Training Center. In 2015 we collaborate with Asia and Oceanic Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (AOSRA-PM) for its 13th congress, which mark our first international work shop. As you can see in our program and in our faculty list, the conference has continued to grow, which enables us to invite the top international instructors and developers in this field. Ultrasound-guided procedures for regional anaesthesia blocks are becoming the most likely standard, and research in the field has focused on the imaging technology in a much broader range. Clinical education, meanwhile, has been overrun by interventional procedures.
In 2016, our vision is growing and we are incorporating pain intervention to our advance regional anesthesia workshop. The program will include some fluoroscope assisted ultrasound guidance pain procedure for needle insertion and contrast confirmation in cadaver to make sure we provide the latest knowledge and techniques available.
